About Us

About AOUSA

We believe in deploying the positive values associated with sport, as a global currency to end poverty.

Africa Outreach USA is a non-profit 501(c)-3 volunteer organization committed to breaking the poverty cycle for disadvantaged children across Africa. Founded in 2008, the organization deploys youth sports programs, (basketball, soccer and volleyball) as a game changer to empower under served children with faith based habit success patterns needed to overcome social barriers & excel in life.

Our work is inspired by Dr. Jack Ramsay, (NBA Hall of Fame & Legend) as well as Sharon & Jim O'Brien, (NBA Coach) that believed in the dream to transform dirt basketball courts into safe & usable spaces for children to learn the beautiful game of basketball.

Learn More

Our vision is to bring the dream of sports opportunities closer to reality for millions of under served children across Africa. This is supported by our mission to accelerate self-esteem development needed to drive gender balance, education advancement, healthy livelihoods, faith based lifestyles, and permanently disrupt the poverty cycle.

Community Sweat Equity

Self help development projects help communities realize what they are capable of, not what they are limited by.

Organized Youth Play

Sports gear is a strategic asset that helps enhance self esteem among underserved children.

Behavior Modification

Communities must undergo a complete paradigm shift in order to breakdown social barriers & position children for long term prosperity.
